Nicole Atkins Omaha Concert reviews
Spectacular musical double header
After purchasing the tickets a year and a half ago, I anticipated a combined concert with Nicole Atkins and Earth, Wind and Fire. Instead, there were two big concerts back-to-back for an incredible evening. E,W&F, with over 50 years of recording and performing, maintained their signature songs as if they were just yesterday. The sound, visuals, music, and performance were awesome. Following a brief intermission, Nicole Atkins took the stage with her full troop, including her incredibly talented drummer wife, Cindy Blackman. Both husband and wife were on fire on guitar and drums, and the other members of her band were equally impressive, even featuring a keyboard solo by her son. Unsure if there is a match for this remarkable evening of music and spectacle.
